How to read the platoon colors

Each day shows the letter of the platoon on duty. On a 24/48 exactly one platoon works each day, so the letters run A, B, C, A, B, C all year: Platoon A is on 1 January 2027, B on 2 January and C on 3 January. Because 365 is not a multiple of 3, Platoons A and B each get 122 tours and C gets 121. Every tour is 24 hours, so A and B are scheduled for 2,928 hours in 2027 before overtime, trades and holdovers.
