BoardSpy Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of BoardSpy across the web app, mobile app, and browser extension.
1) Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using BoardSpy at boardspy.site, the BoardSpy mobile app, or the BoardSpy browser extension, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2) What BoardSpy provides
- Commute route monitoring with traffic checks and alerts (delivered by email and/or push notifications).
- Weather, traffic, and AI-generated commute insights for your saved routes.
- A deals feed and personalized recommendations based on your preferences.
- A voice assistant for hands-free queries and suggestions.
3) Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- BoardSpy is not directed to children under 13, and such users may not use the service.
4) Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including: attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the platform, scraping or abusing APIs, infringing others' rights, or using BoardSpy for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put the platform at risk.
5) Notifications
With your permission, BoardSpy sends notifications (email, browser, or mobile push) related to your routes, rewards, and account. You can disable or adjust notifications at any time from the app, extension, or device settings.
6) Voice assistant and credits
Voice features may be subject to usage limits or credits. Limits, rewards, and any paid allowances may change over time. We make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes.
7) Third-party services
BoardSpy relies on trusted providers to operate features, including Google (OAuth, Maps), Firebase Cloud Messaging, and email/service providers. Your use of those features may also be subject to the relevant provider's terms.
8) Third-party content (deals feed)
BoardSpy’s deals and recommendations may include text, images, video previews, creator names, and metadata from publicly available posts on third-party platforms (including Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube). That content remains the property of its original publishers. BoardSpy does not represent itself as the author or owner of third-party posts.
BoardSpy uses this material only to help users discover local offers. Each listing is attributed to its source and includes a link to the original post. BoardSpy does not replace the original publisher, and users are responsible for verifying offer details with the business before acting on any deal.
BoardSpy may remove, hide, or stop displaying any third-party listing at its discretion, including in response to a takedown request, platform policy change, or legal notice.
9) Content takedown requests
Rights holders, publishers, and authorized representatives may request removal of a deal or post shown in BoardSpy by emailing support@boardspy.site with the subject line Content takedown request. Please include the URL of the original post and enough information for us to identify the listing and verify your authority to make the request.
We aim to process good-faith takedown requests within 5 business days. Removal from BoardSpy does not delete content on the original platform. For general support, see our Support page.
10) Disclaimers
Traffic, weather, deals, and AI insights are provided for convenience and may be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable. Third-party deal posts may be incomplete, expired, or changed after we index them. BoardSpy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Do not rely on the service for safety-critical decisions, and always follow road rules and conditions.
11) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BoardSpy and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from missed alerts, inaccurate data, service interruptions, or reliance on third-party deal content.
12) Account cancellation and data deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the mobile app (Profile → Delete account) or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your routes, preferences, devices, and associated records as described in our Privacy Policy.
13) Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
